Hi!

My pet has something to ask you: Will you vote for him or her in the Spay Day Online Pet Photo Contest - and help save other pets' lives at the same time? See my pet's picture and message below. Helping animals is really important to me, and your donation will not only help my pet in the contest, but will save pets' lives by reducing pet overpopulation.

Just click her: http://photocontest.humanesociety.org/contest.html?page=manage&contestId=1 and search for my cat: "ABNAKI" !

ThanX,

Jack

More from the Psychos ...

Hi, Co-Rockers!

Just finished a show here in Vienna with my friends from Psycho Quartz-
Nice intimate venue, not too many slip-ups and a fantastic time in sweat, walls of sound and nicest audience.

View some silent witnesses of a big night out in the piX-section!

I’ll post more from the States soon- until then:

Head-bang your way out of mediocrity! –

GreetinX,
Jack.

Notes from Chicago ...

Hi, E-surfers!

To cut a long story short:

I’m ready to depart from the U.S. and A., sitting in the hotel's lobby now, waiting for my shuttle;
so many things happened in the last weeks, months that I can never elaborate on all of them, but here are a few recollections:
The Sequoias were unbelievable (-and I mean that; there’s no way to capture those giants in pictures and their mountainousnessis is ineffefable-),
Kings Canyon of sheer beauty and captivating wilderness,
San Diego full of nicest people,
Mexico, especially the border: a place of desperation and corruption (-I even got mugged by a cop!-),
I also discovered many novel cool places on my way back up to L.A.,
And: Chicago’s an extraordinary place, pulsating with energy and diversity...

A lil’ note on the side: earlier on I witnessed the horror of "Cowschwitz", made a few pictures (-despite the fact the whole place is security patrolled and no one is allowed to even stop on the streets around that facility, which I did, of course. One security-patrol-van chased me, trying to intimidate and then even stop my car and it took me several miles of high speed driving to get rid on them after I was back on the highway. That whole experience strengthened my disgust for animal exploitation and all people involved in these horrific practices.

Alright then: I’ll hop onto my ride to O’Hare in a few minutes, so I’ll leave it there for now;- I’m sure things will keep on jumping into my mind in the following weeks, so I’ll post ‘em here- keep checking back!

For now: greetinX and all the best to all of you,

Jack.

P.s.: I will load up pictures when I'm back in ol' Europe!

A quest for giants ...

Good evening!
Just arrived from a day at Sequoia National Park; titanic area, stunning nature, a lot of trees (-though no giants just yet-) who were battered by those wildfires... and me, trying to outsmart road signs which clearly indicated that crossing a ~9k pass will not work out.
I tried… I drifted through the snow… but in the end had to give up when that white stuff measured 2 feet something.
Took off to the west end, now ready to give it a shot from this side… first I’ll rest for a few hours.

Lights out now.

Take care, be excellent to your fellow earthlings… plus: keep checking back for more non-sense from the wild, wild west-

GreetinX,
Jack.

Silence of the sand ...

Hi!
...- if you plan to ever go there check your fuel-levels carefully ahead of setting your wheels in!
I considered the price at the last gas station prior to entering a tad steep, so I cruised by, with a pretty stupid smirk on my face, and gave it a shot with about a quarter left.

Viva los hybrids! A regular car with average fuel consumption would have been an interesting experience, cause at the Devil’s Play Zone there ain’t much room for mistakes like that… especially now, off season, with hardly anyone else driving by.
Well, I also could have just topped up that tank.
Live and learn.

Anyways- you aren’t so lucky; I’m still alive and will post some impressions in the galleries section as soon as my internet connection’s fast enough again.

For now: over and out.
Be better, everyday anew-

G’day,
Jack.

Ocean > desert ...

Hello, again!

What’s new? … Arrived in Barstow, CA, late last night, slept at a friend’s ranch, sneaking into a dark house in the middle of the night, trying to avoid waking up her folks; rested my head on a bunk bed for the first time… well… since my age turned into a two digit number. Completely nice people, as I found out this morning, who have decided to live their lives differently… away from big cities’ lights and buzz.

Funny detail: they used to be dairy farmers, but gave up their business many years ago… agreed 100% that 2days practices in this industry is cruel and intolerable for animals and were very much against these atrocities. Sometimes a former “enemy” can become an ally.

Had fresh tortillas and beans for breakfast and then took off to Las Vegas.

Stopped at an outlet center which used to be the biggest one… I guess on this planet… and found out that a few years can turn a shopping madhouse into a rusty decaying and deserted ghost town- almost beautiful in its fall.

Anyways- arrived at my motel at the Strip now and will hit the streets soon.

Stay safe- ‘cause I can’t ;-) !

All the best from the dusty dusky desert and like those local headbangers used to sing : I guess I'll see you in hell !

Good night,
Jack.

P.s.: Added a few more piX from 2day into the California 2008- album!
